Groceries and Restaurants
Groceries
The small Surf City IGA is the closest grocery store. The address is 106 S Topsail Dr, Surf City, NC 28445. Their hours are generally 8 AM - 9 PM. This is the only grocery store you can access without crossing the bridge. It is about 10 minutes from the townhouse.
Across the bridge on NC-50, about 15 minutes away in Surf City, you'll find a Publix, a Walmart Neighborhood Market, and a Food Lion. All of these are well-stocked, full grocery stores. We love the Publix, and they make great subs if you need an easy lunch!
Eating and Drinking
We love to get coffee from Surf City Coffee, and Island Delights is our go-to ice cream stop!
There's also a fun new ice cream parlor called Sweet Alicious that is adorable.
If you want a seafood feast without going to a restaurant, Topsail Steamer is the place to check out. They offer take-out steamer pots of fresh seafood that you can steam at home.
Looking for Calabash-style seafood and cold beer? We recommend Sears Landing, although if it's a summer weekend, you should arrive early or expect to wait.
Salty Turtle Beer Company is a brewery with great beer just over the bridge in Surf City.
Others in the area have compiled fantastic lists of the best restaurants around, so we'll defer to their expertise!
